What to expect
You'll travel by private vehicle with a knowledgeable Egyptologist who contextualises the sites as you visit them. Day one is intensive: expect four major archaeological zones spread across the Giza plateau and desert sites further out, with a local lunch break midway. Day two focuses on Cairo's city centre, moving between the museum (plan 2–3 hours minimum), the fortified citadel complex, and the sprawling bazaar where traders actively negotiate. Walking is moderate but involves stairs, uneven surfaces, and desert terrain. Bring sun protection and comfortable shoes.
Good to know
Breakfast and lunch at local restaurants are included; beverages are separate. The tour isn't suitable for pregnant travellers or those with significant back or heart conditions. Infant seats are available on request. Tipping is not included in the package price but is customary. Bring cash for bazaar shopping and optional evening activities like dinner cruises or sound-and-light shows.
