What to expect
You'll be picked up early and transferred to the dive boat, where you'll kit up with provided gear and run through safety checks with your instructor. The first dive is shallow and gentle, letting you settle into breathing underwater. Subsequent dives go deeper as confidence builds. Expect 30–40 minutes underwater per dive, with surface intervals between each. The boat rocks gently; if you're prone to seasickness, take preventative tablets beforehand. Lunch is simple but satisfying. The day wraps by mid-afternoon.
Good to know
Don't fly or get on a plane within 24 hours of diving due to decompression risk. Complete a health form before the trip. If you have asthma, heart conditions or spinal issues, consult your doctor first. Soft drinks and alcohol aren't included but are available to buy on the boat.
