What to expect

You'll start in the quiet lower zone of Mt. Fuji, far from the main climbing routes. Yuki leads you past a shrine and through dense forest, pointing out how lava flows shaped the landscape. The cave walk is straightforward, and crater-fed lakes break up the forest. The ascent is steady but short—nothing technical. Coming down is quicker. By mid-afternoon, you're sitting down to thick udon noodles at a local eatery, then moving to a garden where you'll whisk and sip proper matcha. The whole experience feels off-grid, though you're only minutes from towns.

Good to know

Pickup works only if you're based in Kawaguchiko or Fujiyoshida, or can reach those areas independently. Lunch costs roughly ¥1,000 extra. Not suitable if you have spine injuries, are pregnant, or have cardiovascular concerns. Trekking shoes, poles, rain gear, and gloves are provided at no extra charge.
