About this tour
Pack a full Pu Luong experience into eight hours: trek through villages where locals still work silk by hand, paddle a bamboo raft downriver with lunch served onboard, then cool off at Hieu Waterfall or explore the limestone passages of Bad Cave near Kho Muong Village. An English-speaking guide leads the way through this corner of northern Vietnam, moving between rice terraces and river valleys without requiring serious fitness.

What to expect
Your guide picks you up and drives to the Pu Luong valley, where you'll spend the morning on foot visiting hamlets and stopping at a silk workshop to try the craft yourself. Mid-morning takes you to a busy market where villagers shop daily—this isn't staged. After that, you'll board a bamboo raft for a gentle paddle downriver; lunch arrives as you float. The afternoon splits: either swim and relax at the waterfall, or hike into Bad Cave to see stalactites and explore underground passages. Both routes end with a return drive to your accommodation.
Good to know
Bring swimwear and a towel for the waterfall or cave pool. Wear proper walking shoes with grip—paths get muddy. The raft lunch is basic but filling. Not suitable if pregnant. Infants must sit on an adult's lap during transport.
