What to expect

Expect a leisurely amble through three central Roman neighbourhoods, stopping frequently to eat. Your guide will hand you food at each spot—nothing polished, just what regulars actually queue for. You'll stand and eat alongside them, then move on. The leather studio visit breaks up the tasting rhythm; you'll see craftspeople at their benches. Bring comfortable shoes and a reusable water bottle. The pace suits most fitness levels, but there's genuine walking involved, so cardiovascular fitness helps.
