What to expect

You'll start on a bicycle, riding at a relaxed pace through flat village lanes lined with coconut palms and farmland. Once at the water, your guide will teach you how to balance and steer a bamboo basket boat—it takes a few tries, but it clicks quickly. You'll move slowly through narrow channels, watching fishers at work and stopping to help if they're casting nets or collecting the day's haul. Back on land, depending on the tour timing, you might help pick greens or work briefly in a paddy. Lunch or dinner happens in a local home or simple restaurant, with dishes made from what the village produces. Expect to get wet and muddy. Your guide speaks English and can answer questions about how the village survived and adapted.

Good to know

Not suitable for pregnant women or those with spinal issues or serious heart conditions. Infants must sit on an adult's lap during cycling. Wear quick-dry clothes and sandals you can slip off. The tour includes hotel pickup in Hoi An, water, guide, meals, and all transport and entrance fees. Travel insurance isn't covered.
