What to expect

You'll arrive at a traditional tea house and be welcomed into a quiet tatami room. Next, your guide demonstrates calligraphy, walking you through brush control and basic characters; expect some ink on your fingers. Finally, matcha whisking happens in front of you before you taste it alongside light snacks. The whole arc takes 90 minutes without rushing. Wear comfortable clothing you can kneel in (shoes off indoors). Public transport runs nearby; arrange your own way there. The session isn't suitable if you have significant spine or heart concerns. Tea and basic refreshments are included; extra purchases aren't.
