What to expect

You'll start early in oak and hazelnut woodland with a truffle hunter and his dogs—expect muddy boots, close attention to where the dogs work, and a genuine sense of hunt and discovery. The truffles you find (or don't) become part of lunch. Back at the farm, you'll learn pasta dough and shapes from someone who makes it daily; no experience needed, just follow along. Lunch is a relaxed affair: your pasta, truffle-based dishes, estate wines, and their own olive oil. It's a working farm, not a polished venue, which is the appeal.

Good to know

Wear sturdy, waterproof footwear and bring layers—forest conditions are unpredictable. Truffle finds vary by season and soil; don't expect a guaranteed haul. Prams are welcome on the grounds. Dietary requirements can be accommodated with notice.
