What to expect

You'll be fitted with full safety gear and briefed on clipping in and moving along the iron rungs bolted into the rock face. The climbing itself is steady vertical scrambling rather than gymnastic problem-solving. Exposure is genuine—you're hundreds of metres above the canyon floor—but the fixed anchors and straightforward holds make the mental challenge manageable for first-timers. Most of the time is spent absorbing the views: the bridge's arch framing the drop below, the weathered canyon walls, distant hills. Your arms and legs stay engaged but the pace is deliberate, almost meditative.

Not suitable if you have spinal injuries or are pregnant. Fitness levels vary widely among participants but the route accommodates all abilities. Public transport serves the area. Bring water and wear proper footwear with grip.
